Surrounded
by peaceful and tranquil countryside, Casa de Mario is to be found in the
village of Santa Margarida in a secluded courtyard with a swimming pool,
barbecue, a very pleasant garden and two delightful cottages -
Casa Serene and Casa Michele.
Casa Serene is a two bedroomed cottage with a kitchen,
lounge/diner and full bathroom. There are also a couple of folding beds
available so the casa can in fact accommodate up to 6 people.
The front
door of Casa Serene opens into the
kitchen.
This leads into the lounge/diner and then down four steps to
the lower bedroom, which has a double bed and a traditional tile dressing
table. Curtains can be pulled across at night which makes both the bedroom and
the lounge rather cosy.
Back in the lounge/diner and up the wooden
staircase to the mezzanine floor where there are twin beds. The bathroom (bath
with shower over) leads off this bedroom and a terrace leads off the
bathroom!
The swimming pool is 6.2m by 5.2m and 1.6m deep and is shared
by Casa Serene, Casa Michele and the owners in
their small cottage.
Both the upstairs terrace and the courtyard are
provided with table and chairs and there are sun loungers are available for
around the pool.

There are a number of
restaurants, cafes and bars in
Alte, just down the
road. Loulé is not far away and the towns old towns of Messines and
Silves are also within easy reach.

The beaches at
Albufeira, Vilamoura and Quarteira are only 20-30 kilometres away - that's
about half an hour, and then there are the towns of Messines, and Loulé
in either direction.
In the surrounding hills you can see a wide variety
of fruit growing at different times of the year - oranges, lemons, grapes,
mangos, pomegranates and figs! |
